Do I have to pay custom charges/taxes?

All parcels are shipped on a Delivered Duty Unpaid (DDU) basis. This means import duties, taxes, and any customs fees are set by the destination country and must be paid by the customer before delivery.

International shipments may be subject to customs inspections or processing, which can cause delays. These procedures are managed by local customs authorities and are outside of our control.

If an order is refused or returned due to unpaid duties or taxes, any shipping and return costs incurred may be deducted from the refund.

EU only

Facetheory ships all EU orders using the Import One-Stop Shop (IOSS) scheme, resulting in VAT being collected at checkout for eligible consignments. Commencing July 1st, the EU introduced a flat rate import fee of €3 on imported goods, and in some cases, an additional small charge may also be applied by the local customs authority or delivery carrier. These charges are set by EU authorities and/or local delivery providers, are not controlled by Facetheory ,and may vary by country. We are unable to collect or prepay these fees at checkout, and any such charges must be paid by the customer directly to the carrier before delivery. By placing an order, you acknowledge and accept that these additional charges may apply and are the responsibility of the recipient. If an order is refused or returned because duties or taxes were not paid, shipping and return fees may be deducted from your refund.

USA only

We’ve updated our US delivery rates to reflect rising international shipping costs. Standard delivery is now $24, with free shipping still available on orders over $50. Duties and import taxes are now included in your total at checkout. These changes mean we can continue to deliver your skincare to you reliably while we work on establishing a permanent US distribution hub. Thank you for your support - it helps us continue to improve, for you and your skin.
